THE 13 COLONIES AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR IN 1763
Had it been necessary for the Americans to have to fight both France and England during the American Revolution, the Revolution would not have been a success. The successful conclusion of the French and Indian War in 1763 was a necessary preliminary to independence from England.
Frontier Scotch-Irish militiamen from Pennsylvania and Virginia played an important role in the successful conclusion of the French and Indian War in Pennsylvania.
While France was Washington's enemy in the French and Indian War of the 1750's, the best ally Washington had in the American Revolution was King Louis XVI of France who early in the war ran secret covert operations to see that Washington received the arms and men he badly needed. King Louis XVI later supported Washington openly.
King Louis XVI's support with ships at Yorktown was crucial to the success of Washington's final victory over British General Cornwallis there, the battle that ended the war.
The atheistic and anti-Christian revolutionary terrorists at the time of the French Revolution murdered King Louis XVI and his wife, along with thousands of Christian clergy and nuns many of whom they threw into the Seine and other French rivers to die. That revolution had no similarity whatever to the American Revolution. It is best described as a mindless blood orgy similar to many taking place in Africa and Bosnia today.
